Introducing Re:Circle – An Exciting New Way To Resell Clothes In New Zealand!

We’re loving this new concept for reselling. Well, it’s relatively new in New Zealand
anyway!

At Re:Circle – which currently has locations in Auckland suburbs Takapuna and
Onehunga, and Hamilton city (with plans to open throughout Aotearoa) – you can
rent a rack to sell pieces from your wardrobe that you no longer fit or want.

Re:Circle’s Kiwi-based founder Henrik Stovering originally hails from Denmark which
is where he first stumbled across the idea, and we’re glad he’s brought it here to NZ.
The concept differs from the usual consignment store model where sales are split
with the seller 50/50. At Re:Circle sellers rent-a-rack, curate and price their items,
and Re:Circle takes a 20 per cent cut.

“It’s your own little shop within a shop,” says Henrik. “I didn’t invent it from scratch, I
just turned it Kiwi. It’s something that has developed and evolved over many years in
Scandinavia. It takes the workload off the sellers and the buyer gets to shop a huge
selection of quality clothing.”

According to ThreadUp’s latest Resale Report, the average amount of old or
unwanted apparel that consumers try to sell is 45% while younger generations try to
sell 52%, on average.

Yup, we love new clothes and places like Re:Circle help the world of apparel go
round.
Over the past 12 months Re:Circle has diverted 50,000 items from going into landfill
and we’re high-fiving that!
Did we mention that it’s also dog friendly?!!!
